Budapest100
Budapest100, is an annual program series that concentrates on the architecture and history of certain different Budapest building complexes such as historic schools, offices, apartments, churches or synagogues with imposing appearance. These buildings are often overlooked, usually hidden in specific neighborhoods. In April 2017 you could visit stunning buildings along the Danube highlighting the Buda and Pest waterfronts between Rákóczi Bridge and Árpád Bridge.
This free, two-day event presents several programmes that are suitable even for those who don’t speak the local language. In 49 Frankel Leó Street, for instance, they held live-music performances inside a beautiful apartment complex that is complete with a built-in synagogue functioning at the building’s courtyard and is known among locals as the Frankel Street Synagogue.
It is worth checking out Budapest100 programmes year by year here: http://budapest100.hu/en/ and plan a trip to Budapest to take part in them. I would accompany you with pleasure as a professional guide. If you cannot make it on that particular weekend, book my Budapest Classic Tour or my Jewish Tour for instance and I’ll share as much as possible from the must-sees and the hidden gems as well.
