Weinberger Judaica
Weinberger is a lovely little judaica store in the heart of the so-called historical Jewish Quarter, next to the Kazinczy Street Orthodox Synagogue. It is crammed with observance items, ceremonial Judaica, Jewish jewellery and perfect gifts for Jewish weddings or bar / bat mitzvah or any other important religious or non-religious occasions and there is a considerable book collection with a wide assortment of contemporary and antique books: Hungarian and Eastern European Jewish literature, History books, Biographies, Guide books, Photo collections, Religious literature, Prayer Books, Israeli and Middle Eastern studies, Holocaust studies, Jewish studies, Antisemitism and many more. They also have beautiful antique crystal and silverware, paintings, prints, calendars…you can hardly ask anything they do not sell. Except offering the best judaica in Budapest, their real plus is the terrifically nice personnel. Go and try it for yourself!
You can have some interesting facts about the owner of the shop and the present situation of Hungarian Jews by reading the following article:

Posted at 02:08h, 30 JulyWe are from Australia and we visited this excellent shop in 2016 and found a wide range of interesting books and other items. Most helpful service. My wife and I will revisit the store the next time we are Budapest (later this year).

Posted at 13:10h, 02 AugustIan, I completely agree with You, Weinberger is one of my favourite stores in the Jewish Quarter. Well-worth revisiting! Also feel free to contact me next time you are back if you feel like trying my guided tour covering the Jewish-related sights or any other parts of the city you missed last time.
Best,

Posted at 19:19h, 08 AugustBought many items in this lovely store. It was very meaningful to light shabbat candles and have kiddush with the Hungarian candlestick and Kiddush cup set that we bought here once we got home

Posted at 10:22h, 09 AugustStephen, I am so happy you have already been using them. Let them enchance your Shabbats for long long years.
Shalom.

Posted at 13:52h, 20 JulyDo you have a store online? I bought some beautiful ceramic hamsa pendant, and I would like to purchase some more, but we’re in Australia.
